Evaluation on women’s Empowerment, Public health and medical care and Post disaster programs of 2017

The Evaluation program was organized in Kavresthali Secondary School on Monday, Jan 28, 2018 by Volunteers Initiative Nepal. Almost 60 women from different community and women groups participated the program proactively which was started at 11:45 am. The program started with the help of presentation with all the list of programs and events which were accomplished in 2017 with the help of International and National Volunteers by VIN. The accomplished projects/programs were all listed and demonstrated in a proper format with the name of program and its beneficiaries and the place where it was held 2017.

The program began with the Introduction by Program Officer, Om Kumari Shrestha about the VIN and what it has been doing in Jiturphedi and Kabresthali for women empowerment during 10 years. Women were very happy to know that so many programs have already organized in different places. Many women groups were formed lately so they regretted in the late joining and informed that they are committed to participate in each programs organized by VIN.

The women were mostly attracted by Micro Credit and saving programs in Jiturphedi. The initiation, taken by VIN, to build the Co-operative buildings in Jiturphedi has motivated women of Kavresthali to mobilize themselves and others women. When the participated women were asked about the objectives of their women group formed under VIN, mostly replied about to have their own micro credit co-operatives from group during the introduction session. After the brief summary of all the attainments of VIN, the participant women were divided into the five different groups in order to have the equal participation for the feedbacks of programs. Each group was asked to fill the form with questionnaires and durable reasons of their answers. And also they wrote the tentative demanded activities and available time for 2018. The women were really happy to have this kind of session to feel the ownership of upcoming project conducted by VIN.
