ECD Teacher’s Training at Okhaldhunga

VIN Nepal, Okhaldhunga and PiSL, America conducted one day refresher training for the ECD teachers and volunteers at Thulachhap, Bhadaure and Taluwa VDC, Okhaldhunga on 10th, 11th and 15t, May 2016 respectively. PiSL Director Miss Diann Grim held the training as a professional trainer and Rajan khadka ECD coordinator, Okhaldhunga facilitated the training.  Total 49 teacher (17 from Thulachhap, 15 from Bhadaure and 17 from Taluwa) and volunteers participated in the training from these three VDCs.

VIN’s director Mr. Bhupendre Ghimire and PiSL director Ms. Diann Grim visited the ECD centers in Renuka Primary School, Thulachhap-5, Raktamala Primary School, Thulachhap-1, Sidhhadevi Primary School, Bhadaure-6 and Janachetan Secondary School, Taluwa-5 respectively for planning to construct four new earthquake resistance buildings.

All the ECD centers supported by VIN and PiSL at three VDC were visited by Diann Grimm on 16 to 20 May, 2016 .During the visit of ECD class, Miss Diann instructed on how to use learning materials to the ECD teachers. Likewise, during the ECD center visit, it was found that some building of the ECD centers need to be renovated as soon as possible. The buildings that needs renovation are:

– Kalika devi ECD-taluwa-1

– Panchamukhi ECD Dumre-taluwa-3A

– Jalpa ECD (Chapa Bhanjyang Primary School)-thulachhap-7

– Shree Seti Devi Community Based ECD Centre-bhadaure-3

– Tej Maya Rai Primary school-bhadaure-1

PiSL provided 122 rugs for all the ECD centers at all three VDC on 21th May.

Dian Grimm PiSL has personally sponsored the four kids (from Dovantar Village) for their school lunch in the ECD center at Bhadaure -7A.

Further, the 37 children who were provided scholarship were distributed school bag and different stationary by Ann Wilson, friends of VIN, Netherland and Saddi Maya, Friends of VIN, America on 13th May-2016.
