I spent almost 6 weeks at the Buddhist Monastery as an English teacher with a friend of mine from Germany. We lived directly in the monastery in a special building for “guest”. The second floor is the temple where they do ‘Puja’ in the morning and the evening and the third floor has our rooms. We could hear the chanting twice a day and that was great!
Work was from 10:00 am to 12:15, and then we would have lunch (daal Bhat) and a break until 1:15 pm. Class finished around 4 pm (when someone thought about ringing the bell)
The time at this monastery was for me an amazing experience. The monks were really nice and helpful and I know I will definitely come back!
