On 15th of May, VIN welcomed its second LMT volunteers for the month of May for Volunteering in Nepal. There were 10 volunteers from different countries who will be volunteering for various projects. These volunteers are for the projects like teaching English in a Buddhist monastery, women empowerment, children development, water research, ECD and public health and medical care. The first 2 days are for the induction classes where the volunteers will be provided some basic information which provides them some guidelines for their project and in their host families.

During the first day, the induction started with the short introduction of volunteers and the staffs of VIN with each other.  In the second session, they were given a brief introduction of VIN which included the mission, vision and objectives of the organization along with some other basic details about Nepal. The third session was on the orientation about their individual project. In this session, the volunteers were divided according to their project and their respective project staffs gave them the brief information about their projects. The last session of the day was about the Nepali language classes. This class is provided to the volunteers so as to know the basic Nepali words for them while working and staying in the community.
