Dear Visitors, Namaste!

Its been more than 4 years that VIN is working at marginalized community of eartern Nepal namely, Taluwa, Thulachhap and Bhadaure of Okhaldhunga District. Rural communities at these places don not have physical infrastructures like good School, health centres, toilets, community learning centers. VIN has constructed toilets for over 1500 families and Children centers and its one of the important place for VIN to work at and aims to uplift its status, provide good infrastructures and facilities of learning for small children there. After the devasting earthquake, VIN has also constructed TCL, transitional homes at those places.

But as  community does not have any learning resource centers so, VIN has started to construct a Community Learning Center (CLC). It is moving on with its construction and has implemented its own brick making machines and International/Local volunteers. The construction is estimated to cost $265807USD. This center will have a conference hall, training rooms, library (digital and hard copies), computer learning center, office and residential center. This Community Learning Center will benefit at least 15000 people of Taluwa, Thulachhap and Bhadaure of Okhaldhunga.

VIN doesn’t have so much fund with it so calls for help to donate for a cause and make us reach the goal in time!!

Any amount you will donate directly go to fund this project. Anyone (organization, company, individual) who donate over $500 will be mentioned on the wall of the center and different media. Any single donation will be mentioned at our newsletters and reports.

Could you conduct your business meetings outside in the street?

Could you bank at a window open to the public?

Could you train your company members sat outside on a dusty path in the hot sun?

Could you share your office with sacks of fertilizer?

Well – could you?

The members of the Jipurphedi Women’s Agricultural Community do it every working day and they need a new building to work, learn and sell their surplus produce.

The Cooperative started 6 years ago with 32 members, it now numbers over 800. It offers women the opportunity to save, to borrow money and to buy seeds and fertilizer at reduced rates. It has made a massive impact on the lives of the women 96% feeling happier and 76% feeling more respected in their families.

They have outgrown their current dirty and dusty rented premises, they have bought the land and now need some £74,000 for construction, fixtures and fittings and IT infrastructure and hardware.
