sewing and cutting training conducted by Volunteers Initiative Nepal at Gairigaun Jitpurphedi
VIN has been providing different life skill training to women of Gairigaun. Recently VIN conducted sewing/cutting training in Gairigaun. This three months long life skill training to women was provided to 9 women. During the basic and advance training session, the women learnt to stitch 26 different types of clothes.
The life skill training to women was conducted with the aim of training women on sewing and cutting skills so that that it supports them to start their business regarding the same. Before the training was conducted, VIN first made the schedule of the training. The list of items to be taught during the training was finalized beforehand. The basic and advance course was finalized too. During the training period, VIN followed up the training every week. VIN staff would attend the training at least once a week in order to get the feedback on how effective the program was. During each visit, the participants involved in the life skill training to women expressed that they have a plan to be good entrepreneurs by established sewing cutting business in the future. This project participant’s age range was above 20 to below 35 so that they become eligible for being good entrepreneurs.
