Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN) is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization and has not been funded by any organizations. VIN is proud to offer all of the services, that our competitors offer, at a very special economical price. VINs costs are nearly two to three times less then other volunteering organizations. We are Nepal based organization and we place volunteers directly to our own projects. We therefore do not have to pay for any other agencies or organizations. We have mainly volunteer staffs and do not have to spend that much for the operation cost. Our full staffs also do not make 6-figured salaries; and we work very hard and smart to keep costs down especially for you the volunteer where it counts the most. Thats the reason VINs volunteering programs are the most affordable programs in Nepal compared to other organizations. We remain devoted to maintaining both the quality of the program and the safety of all volunteers involved. Our program costs range from 260 Euros to 995 Euros depending on the program and the length of stay. Any money saved out of the program fees directly goes to our projects. Our all programmes are funded through volunteers supports. Here is a brief summary of the program costs that VIN offers:

The program costs are reviewed in every July to adjust with the inflation rates. (We have reviewed the program cost to adjust the inflation rates for upto July 2009. We have also reviewed the structure of schedule as per volunteers requests. Before July 9, 2008 we had monthly program cost and now 2 weeks basis)
Note: For Monastery Program Placement there will be 30 extra charge.

We have upto 30 % discount for Group Volunteering if there are over 5 members in a group.
Training: 2 start dates are usually available each month. We start training 1st and 15th of each month. If you wish to come in between for a short period, you will receive basic orientation before the placement.
The program fee covers:
- Administrative charge
- Transportation: Pick up from the airport
- Pre-service and in-service training (e.g. Nepali language and Culture, environmental training, teacher training (e.g.TEFL TIPS)
- Accommodation and Food during training
- Accommodation and Food during placement
- 24 hours emergency support
- Regular support and supervision at the site
- Stationaries during training and volunteering
- Support for local volunteers
- Support for ongoing projects
Note: If you wish to work more than one placement, then you need to pay 50 extra to cover our extra logistic work.
THE PROGRAMME COST DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING:
- You will be responsible for your flight ticket to Nepal and visa fees which are as follows (check with your embassy or Nepal Immigration for the latest fee structure)
- Visa (tourist) fee in US$:

- Departure tax of 1,800 RS (to be paid at the airport upon departure)
- Personal travel and sightseeing (trekking, jungle safari etc)
- Incidentals (food, laundry, internet access, telephone, drinks) costs accrued during training and placement
- Should you wish to spend more time in Kathmandu pre and post placement period, go trekking and sightseeing etc., please remember to budget accordingly!

VIN is solely funded through the Program Fees paid by volunteers like you, and individual sponsorships for children. VIN receives no funding from donor agencies.
